Compost
At Hamanishi Farms, we make our own compost because we believe nutritious soil is a vital component for healthy produce. For those unfamiliar with compost, it is simply a mixture, normally of organic residues such as decomposed vegetation, peat, charcoal, manure, and sea vegetation to name a few and used as fertilizer.
Not only is our compost for our own use, but we also make it available to community farmers and local gardeners alike, many of whom testify to the dramatic changes they see in their produce qualities and yields. Once you try it on your own garden or field you should taste the difference in your produce!
We sell by the bag and the truckload.

DIRECTIONS
Apply from 5 to 20 yards per acre (3 to 12 cubic feet per 1000 square feet) as a top-dress to incorporate with tillage anytime of the year.
Place in piles on the lawn, spread with shovel and rake in any high spots. First and second watering will incorporate the product.
Layer compost 1/8 inch thick - a little goes a long way! Expect to mow your lawn more often.
